Sadly, none of those yet look massive enough. If you have time to pull down masks and record faces, you have very few faces.

I think protests will grow to that size if the energy crisis continues. The Yellow Vests had a lot of momentum in France before COVID. The Velvet Revolution was planned over decades (and happened in November), starting with 200,000 and leading to 1 million in Prague.

The media is being oddly silent. I believe there has been a BLM protest in London (today or yesterday), which was not amplified by the media outlets that did so 2 years ago.

There will definitely be an economic "line in the sand," when it comes to inflation, energy prices, and the cost of living. I'd guess somewhere between bread lines and not having bread for bread lines is the point for most Western nations. That's a simplistic explanation for the fall of Rome. Once the people don't have bread and circuses, it's over.

Where we must all be careful is to not become reactionary and embrace radical ideologies. Fascism very much rises from chaotic and collapsing nations (like Germany post-WWI). And nationalism usually is used to promote wars.

This will surely be among the most interesting periods of history for our descendants to study.
