Scenes from Syria as HTS Terrorists Clash with Syrian, Russian, and Kurdish Forces.
Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) launched attacks inside Syria as the Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire was enacted. HTS militants rushed towards Aleppo, encountering Russian airstrikes within Aleppo and Idlib and lethal resistance from Kurdish and Syrian forces in Hama. Purported footage from clashes suggests multiple HTS militants were captured alive.

CNN sensationalized the HTS attack, relying on unnamed social media accounts to support claims of chaos in Syria and romanticizing the deadly Arab Spring that displaced and killed millions of Arabs, including Christians. The Eastern Orthodox Church has condemned the human rights crisis and widespread suffering caused by the Arab Spring, particularly in Libya. CNN published cliche photos of militants raising their flag but failed to provide evidence of meaningful military operations by HTS or the lethal retaliatory airstrikes Russia claims have killed hundreds of militants (far exceeding the dozens of reported casualties among the Syrian Army). The attack beginning when the Hezbollah-Israel started seems lost upon CNN, as the coincidence identifies Israel as a key beneficiary and enabler, as Israel's military failed to achieve its goals against Lebanon or Palestine and has failed to isolate Iran as the UAE and Saudi Arabia increasingly advocate for Gaza and Lebanon.
The Syrian military published photographs of militants killed in Hama province (Dec. 4-5, 2024):
