American Project Leaflet Journalist With Ties to Task Force 31 and Forward Observation Group Allegedly Present During Execution of Russian POWs.
Journalist Chris Naganuma assisted Task Force 31 with training of Ukraine soldiers while claiming he was only in Ukraine as a journalist.
Project Leaflet journalist Chris Naganuma was allegedly present during the execution of Russian POWs. New York Times recently confirmed the authenticity of a video showing Ukraine forces executing Russian soldiers who surrendered.
The founder of FOG, Derrik Bales, told Vice News in a 2021 interview “he did not participate in any fighting and was at the frontlines to conduct interviews for a coffee table book.” Chris used the same explanation, that FOG made “coffee table books,” in the above statement to Gateway Pundit. Bales went to a Right Sector base, claiming to not understand what the ultra-nationalist Right Sector was like until arriving. Bales admitted to being in contact with Ukraine SBU officers and claims to have participated in hostilities for “only 3 hours.” Bales wore a Misanthropic patch while in Ukraine.
Redacted described Chris Naganuma’s presence in Ukraine (minute 19):
Chris has posted publicly on Facebook to solicit donations for Task Force 31 (which trains Ukraine soldiers in their Operation Golden Trident program), provide exposure for individuals with FOG branded merchandise, and discusses how Task Force 31 successfully trained Ukraine soldiers (referred to as “students”) in Ukraine in August 2022:
The above image is also posted on Task Force 31’s website:
Task Force 31 raises funds to provide military training and has a project entitled Operation Golden Trident dedicated to assisting Ukraine:

Chris posted a picture in a Saint Javelin (NAFO merchandise) sweatshirt:
He also posted an image with a person in a FOG hate with a satanic logo:
While Chris describes FOG as “nothing more than a couple of guys that take photos and make coffee table books, raising money for teams,” the group publishes propaganda videos on its YouTube channel highlighting their military combat skills.
FOG posted a video tagged with Ukraine, Ukraine War, and Severodonetsk that was entitled “Working with the Boys.” The group is heavily armed and in combat gear (which is uncommon for frontline journalists):
FOG shared that they were gathering intelligence in Ukraine prior years ago on the Instagram account linked to FOG’s merchandise website. FOG’s merchandise website has only one item available for sale:
The Instagram account shows FOG largely with military and combat gear (it is not common for journalists to travel with weapons and in military gear):
A FOG Instagram account post from October 2022 shows FOG affiliates in Ukraine. None of the individuals seem to have video or photography equipment. Fanny packs are more common than cameras among the group (perhaps it was choreographed since each individual on the end is wearing a fanny back and hoodie while all but one other individual is wearing a matching vest):
The account also shared a video of presumably other FOG members launching military weapons. Which is, again, not a field of journalism:
This post shows FOG members wearing the US flag patch forward facing (the US military wears US flag patches backward):
American Jonathan Aishan Mccadden, a former Marine, joined Ukraine fighting regiments and likewise wore an American flag forward facing instead of backward:
FOG’s website features an image with a person wearing a forward-facing US flag patch:

FOG members embrace Satanic and Anti-Christ imagery, graphics, and logos (images are, to the best of the author’s knowledge, from 2022):
